Connecting Stripe and PayPal to receive payments

Link a payment provider so customers can check out and you get paid.

Bitsellfy processes payments through Stripe and PayPal. Connecting at least one provider is required before you can accept real orders. You can enable both to give customers more ways to pay.

Note

You'll need a Stripe or PayPal account. If you don't have one yet, you can create it during the connection flow — it only takes a few minutes.

Connect Stripe

  1. 1Go to Settings → Payments in your dashboard.
  2. 2Select Connect next to Stripe.
  3. 3Sign in to your Stripe account, or create one, and authorize Bitsellfy.
  4. 4You'll be returned to Bitsellfy with Stripe showing as Connected.

Connect PayPal

  1. 1In Settings → Payments, select Connect next to PayPal.
  2. 2Log in to your PayPal Business account and grant Bitsellfy permission.
  3. 3Confirm the connection and return to your dashboard.

Tip

Customers who don't have a card handy often complete checkout with PayPal. Enabling both providers can measurably reduce abandoned carts.

Verify your account

Payment providers require identity and bank details before they release funds. Complete any verification steps Stripe or PayPal request — until you do, payouts may be held even though customers can pay.

Important

Stripe and PayPal availability depends on your country. If a provider isn't offered in your region, check Settings → Payments for the methods supported where you operate.

Test your checkout

After connecting, place a small test purchase or use a 100%-off discount code to confirm the full flow works — payment, confirmation email, and file delivery — before you start promoting your store.

Next steps

With payments connected, review how and when payouts are sent and set a payout schedule that works for you.
